Chederick 'Cheddar' Guidry (Good Boy) Though he lives with Maddie and Piper, Cheddar may as well be the bakery mascot. Originally adopted in Baton Rouge, Cheddar made the trip with the Guidry family to Calaveras. He is a two-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, and he is everything one might expect of this lovable breed.

Barbara 'Babette' Thibodeaux (Grandmother) Fiery, passionate and humorous… Piper's maternal grandmother Babette is 83-going-on-30… no, she's not a cougar. She's just a walking, talking example of age being but a number. She is the namesake of the family business; she knows this and is PROUD of it. Babette has Chuck Norris'ed arthritis out of her hands in her twilight years because obviously, her ability to knead bread, fold puff pastry and whisk egg whites is still a force to be reckoned with. This woman's ability to work hard is almost supernatural and more often than not she is in the storefront of the family bakery, regaling patrons and making them feel at home. if she could have it her way, this Cajun Belle would be Everyone's Gramma. NOT APPABLE!

Bentley Guidry (Father) A warm-hearted man with a mind for business, Bentley — with his wife — is naturally the spearhead behind the bakery-cafe and in charge of the logistics of it's running. He is the more outgoing of the pair, and tries to be approachable. He is devoted to his family and livelihood. NOT APPABLE!

Claire Guidry (nee Thibodeaux) (Mother) No-nonsense and professional, Claire is yet a friendly woman albeit a bit reserved and more inclined to work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Regardless she is kind and generous, and very interested in her kids' life choices. NOT APPABLE!

Jude Guidry (Brother, age 26; potential PB -> Janis Danner) The middle son and very, very much the firecracker in the family. Passionate and energetic, Jude is both a baker in the family business and a delivery driver. He does not suffer his own failures lightly and he is forever pushing himself. He is a friendly sort, albeit a bit intense and silly sometimes.

Mathieu Guidry (Brother, age 29; potential PB -> Yon González) The eldest child of the Guidry brood, 'Matt' is the only one who decided to remain in Baton Rogue. Married with one son, he is rooted in the city and not keen on uprooting his family. He keeps in touch steadily by way of phone calls, email and social media. NOT APPABLE!
